Infrastructures & Maintenance Officer – 6‑Month Contract (Benin/Togo)

About the role

CAPAGO is seeking an Infrastructures and Maintenance Officer to support the opening, operation, and upkeep of its offices and Visa Application Centres in Benin and Togo. This six‑month local contract involves hands‑on technical work, facility management, and coordination with contractors to ensure a safe and compliant environment for staff and visa applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, fit‑out, and renovation of new CAPAGO infrastructures.
• Shortlist and liaise with construction firms, signage vendors, and local suppliers.
• Supervise on‑site installation of furniture, signage, partitions, alarms, fire‑fighting equipment, and biometric cabins.
• Manage logistics and safekeeping of materials and equipment.
• Perform daily routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, LAN cabling, locks, doors, and general handyman tasks.
• Inspect, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to lighting, air‑conditioning, water systems, and utility networks.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and support operational continuity.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on‑site daily.
• Open to travel within the West African region.
• Ability to handle logistics, supervise contractors, and follow procurement guidelines.
