Childcare Animator (BAFA Certified)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic BAFA‑certified animators to supervise children aged 3‑12 during reception periods. The role involves creating safe, engaging activities that promote fun, social interaction, and development. You will work on‑site in a dynamic environment, collaborating with other staff to ensure a positive experience for every child.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise groups of children, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Plan and lead age‑appropriate games, crafts, and outdoor activities.
• Prepare and organize activity materials and equipment.
• Adapt activities to weather conditions and available space.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment for the children.
• Monitor attendance, report incidents, and communicate with senior staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate schedules and share resources.

Required profile

• Valid BAFA certification or equivalent childcare qualification.
• Ability to work confidently with children aged 3‑12.
• First‑aid knowledge and ability to handle emergencies.
• Strong sense of responsibility, vigilance, and reliability.
• Positive attitude, flexibility to work evenings or weekends if needed.
• Good communication skills with children, parents, and team members.
