Community Builder

About the role

Moneco, a multi‑currency financial platform serving French‑speaking Africans, is looking for a Community Builder to design and grow its community presence from the ground up. Reporting directly to the co‑founders and Head of Growth, you will be the voice of the brand across social channels, messaging groups, and offline events.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to comments, reviews, and mentions on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, App Store, Google Play and Trustpilot daily.
• Engage in third‑party conversations about fintech in Africa, turning negative moments into brand opportunities.
• Build and manage community infrastructure such as WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, and in‑person events.
• Design and launch growth loops, referral programs, ambassador initiatives and viral campaigns tailored to African markets.
• Recruit, brief and coordinate creators across key African countries.
• Own the social media content calendar, spot trends and produce short‑form video, carousel and basic motion‑graphics content.
• Track engagement, sentiment and growth metrics, delivering weekly reports with actionable insights.

Required profile

• 2–4+ years of experience in community management, social media or brand engagement, preferably within a consumer app, fintech or related sector.
• Proven ability to engage audiences, manage online reputation and turn feedback into product improvements.
• Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating closely with product and growth teams.

Required skills

• Content creation for short‑form video, carousel posts and basic motion graphics.
• Proficiency with major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) and messaging apps (WhatsApp, Telegram).
