Computer Vision Annotator (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Computer Vision Annotator to work remotely worldwide. The successful candidate will create high‑quality labeled datasets that power object detection, segmentation, pose estimation and 3‑D perception models for machine‑learning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑precision annotation on images and videos using tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer or Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Draw accurate bounding boxes, polygons, polylines and place key points for pose or landmark detection.
• Create 3‑D cuboids and annotate point‑cloud data for spatial‑awareness applications.
• Conduct semantic and instance segmentation to label every pixel.
• Interpret complex labeling taxonomies and collaborate with project managers and data scientists to refine guidelines.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve annotation tool functionality and workflow efficiency.
• Identify edge cases, challenging data patterns and potential biases, escalating findings to improve model robustness.
• Contribute to best‑practice documentation, workflow optimisations and training materials for new annotators.
• Assist in basic data‑preparation tasks such as image resizing, format conversion and sensor data synchronization.
• Track key performance indicators like annotation throughput, precision and recall, and participate in calibration sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data annotation, labeling or quality assurance for computer‑vision or machine‑learning projects.
• Proficiency with a variety of annotation techniques including bounding boxes, polygons, key points, 3‑D cuboids and segmentation masks.
• Solid understanding of computer‑vision concepts such as object detection, image classification, LiDAR and point clouds.
• Familiarity with quality‑control processes like consensus labeling, audit sampling and inter‑annotator agreement metrics.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to document workflows clearly.
