Legal Data Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will transform complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal and technology teams to build AI‑driven solutions and data‑driven dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, and contract terms to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs for legal accuracy.
• Support regulatory compliance by translating emerging requirements into actionable processes.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve legal workflow efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Assist in data‑governance activities, including classification, retention, and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong ability to translate complex legal concepts into quantitative data structures.
• Proven project‑management skills with a track record of delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property, or privacy law.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• Power BI or Tableau for building dashboards and visualisations.
• Familiarity with large language model prompt engineering.
