Nutanix Engineer & Networking IT Support (Freelance – Benin)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver Break & Fix services for enterprise infrastructure in Benin. This freelance, on‑call position involves both onsite and remote troubleshooting, ensuring rapid resolution of hardware, network, and virtualization incidents while maintaining professional customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
• Resolve network connectivity problems (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification with at least a 90% score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments with a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher) – preferred.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP – preferred.
• Automation tools: Ansible, Terraform – preferred.
