Sales Specialist – Solar Energy Solutions

About the role

TranESS, through its itel Energy division, is expanding its solar and energy‑storage business in Benin Republic. The Sales Specialist will drive customer acquisition, field sales, and channel development for solar systems, inverters, batteries and related power solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach commercial and industrial prospects such as shops, offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, NGOs, real‑estate projects and factories.
• Conduct regular market visits, generate qualified leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Present itel Energy products, support client meetings, prepare quotations and follow up on proposals.
• Assist in developing dealer, installer and referral partner networks and report opportunities generated through these channels.
• Collect market intelligence on customer needs, competitor activity and pricing, and submit daily, weekly and monthly activity reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• 1–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in renewable energy, solar, electrical products or related sectors; fresh graduates with strong sales potential are also considered.
• Fluent French with good working knowledge of English for internal communication.
• Ability to work independently in the field, conduct regular site visits and manage customer relationships professionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using CRM tools for lead and activity tracking.
