Analyst – Small Business Advisory (ASB)

About the role

Reporting to the Principal Manager, the role connects business advisory work with SME financing needs. It offers exposure to company analysis, donor‑funded project delivery and portfolio assessment while working closely with EBRD banking and policy teams to align advisory services with financing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess SME accounts, growth prospects and business needs; define advisory projects and identify suitable consultants or industry experts.
• Develop a client pipeline in areas such as digitalisation, green business and inclusion, coordinating assignments from conception through evaluation.
• Review portfolio performance and identify opportunities for further support, linking advisory work with financing initiatives and partner institutions.
• Support donor reporting, funding oversight and outreach, maintaining project documentation and relationships with clients and local consultants.

Required profile

• Business, economics or finance degree or equivalent professional experience, preferably in consulting, development institutions or banking.
• Demonstrated financial analysis, project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with knowledge of local businesses and at least one strategic SME priority area.
• Fluency in English and the local language, strong writing ability and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
