Country Manager – Benin

About the role

The Country Manager in Benin will lead the acquisition team, manage client relationships, and drive impact through PUMPUM’s programmes. You will develop the Country Impact Plan, secure funding, and build strategic partnerships to strengthen the local business ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Country Impact Plan aligned with PUMPUM’s mission.
• Lead, coach, and manage a team of five freelance country representatives.
• Identify and secure funding from donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Maintain client relationships post‑acquisition, ensuring quality and strategic fit.
• Collaborate with programme managers and other departments to ensure project success.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in a coordinating or commercial acquisition role.
• Strong local network of SMEs and deep understanding of business ecosystem development in Benin.
• Proven leadership, performance management, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Fluent in French and excellent command of English.
• Based in Benin and available for approximately 30 hours per week.
