L2 Infrastructure & Network Administrator

About the role

The L2 Infrastructure & Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of enterprise server, middleware, network and security infrastructure. The role provides Level‑2 technical support across systems and network environments, ensuring availability, performance and security of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer enterprise server hardware and operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows Server.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic and PHP‑based environments.
• Perform server hardening, patching, security updates and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor server performance, system logs and infrastructure health, and resolve identified issues.
• Execute infrastructure backups and support restoration activities.
• Develop shell scripts to automate routine administration and monitoring tasks.
• Configure, administer and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper network infrastructure, including Catalyst, Nexus switches and routing platforms.
• Manage LAN, WAN and wireless infrastructure, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, ACLs, VPN, IPS and related security devices such as Cisco ASA/Firepower.
• Monitor network, firewall and router logs, investigate suspicious activity and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Participate in infrastructure design, implementation and documentation, and support ITIL processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration or similar infrastructure role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience administering enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP/Juniper are advantageous.
• Experience with ITIL processes including Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity and Asset Management.
