About the role

The Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology offers a 3‑year PhD fellowship in Chemical Biology, starting 15 November 2026. The project investigates the molecular complexity of immune‑cell interfaces and develops a next‑generation chemical biology platform to study protein interaction networks at the immunological synapse.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute an independent research project under supervision.
• Complete PhD coursework equivalent to ~30 ECTS points.
• Participate in an active research environment, including a stay at another research team.
• Gain teaching experience (~10% of the fellowship) and contribute to supervising master’s students.
• Write and defend a PhD thesis based on the project.
