Regional Senior Finance Manager

About the role

The Regional Senior Finance Manager (RSFM) provides strategic financial leadership for CRS across an assigned region. Working remotely, the RSFM partners with the Regional Director to ensure robust financial infrastructure, compliance, and analytical insight that support program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial information and analysis to support the Regional Director’s decision‑making.
• Lead monthly financial health reviews, produce reports, and highlight key considerations for regional leadership and global finance.
• Collaborate with country teams on corrective actions, annual plan development, and operating budgets.
• Ensure high‑quality financial controls, account analysis, reconciliation, and compliance with CRS policies and GAAP.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes and preparation for annual audits.
• Drive improvements to ERP finance functionality, reporting tools, and internal controls.
• Monitor updates to GAAP and donor regulations, translating them into actionable guidance.
• Manage grant financials, cost‑share tracking, cash flow, and timely close‑out of grants.
• Support business development by reviewing proposal budgets and financial documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance roles within international or nonprofit organizations.
• Proven ability to act as a finance business partner to senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, donor regulations, and grant management.
• Experience overseeing finance across multiple countries or programs.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
