Communication Coordination Consultant

About the role

The International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region (IPPFAR) is seeking a Communication Coordination Consultant to support the Justice for Survivors (J4S) project. This project, funded by the Agence Française de Développement, aims to strengthen feminist movements addressing gender‑based violence across Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Tanzania and Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate communication activities for the J4S project, ensuring consistent messaging across all partner organisations.
• Develop and adapt training materials and communication tools tailored to the needs of small and informal feminist organisations.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, linking, and learning among project partners and across the four implementing countries.
• Support the research‑action component by gathering and disseminating findings related to capacity‑building approaches.
• Maintain regular contact with IPPFAR, AFJCI, CRR and other stakeholders to align communication strategies with project objectives.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating communication for development or humanitarian projects, preferably in the SRHR or gender‑based violence sector.
• Strong understanding of feminist civil‑society organisations and capacity‑strengthening methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners across multiple African countries.
