Junior Technology Profiling Consultant (2 positions)

About the role

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking two Junior Technology Profiling Consultants to support the TAAT Clearinghouse in Cotonou. The consultants will help build and maintain an electronic catalog of validated agricultural technologies, enabling decision‑makers and development partners to access proven innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect detailed information from technology providers, researchers, private‑sector operators and technology repositories.
• Enter and validate technology data in the e‑catalogues, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Support the creation and updating of the technology database under the guidance of the Clearinghouse scaling expert.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced technology profilers to meet project timelines.
• Prepare concise technology profiles tailored to the specific audience of each e‑catalogue.

Required profile

• Nationally recruited junior‑level candidate with a degree in agriculture, life sciences, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
