Medical Records Specialist

About the role

The Medical Records Specialist works part‑time and remotely to manage, organize, and maintain accurate health information and medical records. The role ensures records are complete, accurate, and compliant with privacy regulations while supporting internal stakeholders and responding to record‑related inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records for completeness, accuracy and proper use of terminology.
• Update electronic health information systems in line with organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Respond to inquiries about patient records and support data requests from internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve record‑keeping processes and ensure confidentiality.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of medicine.
• Experience or education in health information management, familiar with EHR systems and data privacy regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time‑management skills, with a high level of integrity.
