Remote Accountant – US GAAP/UK IFRS Expertise

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team. You will be responsible for daily accounting operations, financial reporting and tax compliance, supporting our business growth with accurate and timely financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred: CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK).
• Excellent analytical abilities, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
