Senior Manager - Brand and Communication, Consumer

About the role

MTN Benin is looking for a Senior Manager of Brand and Communication for its Consumer segment. The role acts as chief custodian of the MTN brand in Benin, protecting and evolving the brand identity while localising the Group strategy and driving integrated marketing communications, digital brand, go-to-market and events.

Key responsibilities

• Protect and evolve the brand identity and positioning, align with Group standards and turn the annual business plan into an annual brand and marketing communications plan
• Develop a 360-degree communications plan (ATL, print, OOH, BTL, digital) and lead the annual media strategy, media buying and campaign planning
• Build a customer-centric digital brand strategy for apps, websites and social media, and work with the CES team on social media and crisis management
• Lead go-to-market for new products and services and identify co-marketing partnerships
• Oversee the events and sponsorship portfolio from selection to post-event measurement
• Manage agencies, the brand and marketing communications budget and vendor contracts
• Lead brand health research, measure campaign effectiveness and report to leadership and MTN Group
• Lead, coach and develop the brand and communications team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred
• 8-10 years of brand, marketing communications and marketing experience in a corporate or multinational environment; telecom, fintech or FMCG experience is an advantage
• At least 5 years at managerial level with brand and communications management exposure
• Fully bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)
