Senior ADMS Implementation Engineer

About the role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior ADMS Implementation Engineer to lead the design, development and delivery of advanced distribution management software. Based in Cotonou, Benin, you will work with utilities and grid operators to enhance visibility, reliability and performance of dynamic distribution networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, integration, testing, tuning and delivery of DMS, SCADA and modeling applications.
• Own functional solution development with electric utilities, ISOs and transmission/distribution operators.
• Provide technical leadership across cross‑functional teams, guiding system engineers, frontend developers and EMS/DMS application engineers.
• Develop and maintain functional software design documentation and ensure compliance with development standards.
• Contribute to project planning, effort estimates and schedule management.
• Interface with customers to resolve technical issues, support proposals and conduct demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot and support advanced distribution automation features such as power flow, fault isolation, service restoration, Volt‑VAR optimization, fault location and feeder reconfiguration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, applications engineering or power‑systems engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with utility software such as DMS, EMS, SCADA or DERMS.
• Proven experience with the full software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, integration and deployment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with DMS, EMS, SCADA and DERMS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle processes.
• Ability to write functional design specifications for power‑systems software.
• Understanding of distribution automation functions: power flow analysis, fault isolation, service restoration, Volt‑VAR optimization, fault location and feeder reconfiguration.
