Strategic Project Lead - Gun (Gungbe) Language

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Project Lead to own the most critical AI data and evaluation work for the Gun (Gungbe) language. This high‑intensity, high‑visibility position is based in Benin Republic and requires you to drive delivery, quality, and scalability across key customer and lab programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple complex AI data and evaluation projects, ensuring clear ownership, priorities, and execution.
• Deliver on‑time, high‑quality data pipelines and expert labeling workflows with focus on throughput, quality, and cost.
• Translate researcher and customer needs into detailed project plans, scopes, and operational workflows.
• Own performance metrics such as quality, throughput, SLAs, utilization, and margin, using data for continuous improvement.
• Provide a top‑tier experience for Lab Fellows, supporting scalable, high‑quality data production.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to evolve internal tooling, workflows, and systems for efficiency gains.

Required profile

• Based in Benin Republic.
• 2‑5+ years in operationally intensive roles (project management, data operations, data annotation, strategy and operations).
• 2+ years managing high‑performing teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Prior experience in data annotation, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading multi‑stakeholder projects from initiation to delivery, ideally with AI or technical workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in Gun (Gungbe) language.
