Programme Associate (G-6) – Fixed Term – Cotonou, Benin

About the role

The Programme Associate will support UNICEF’s country programme in Benin, contributing to the design, implementation and monitoring of activities that promote children’s rights and equity. Working under the guidance of a supervisor, the role involves close collaboration with internal staff, external partners and agency counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing Programme Cooperation Agreements (PCAs) by gathering information and drafting selected sections.
• Monitor project milestones, provide regular status updates and recommend improvements to keep activities on track.
• Support programme design and delivery through coordination with UNICEF country office staff and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF rules, regulations and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the preparation of programme documents, reports and presentations.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, social sciences, public administration).
• Experience in programme support, project monitoring or related administrative functions.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
