Deputy Representative Operations

About the role

The Deputy Representative Operations supports the Head of Office in managing UNICEF’s operations in Benin. This senior position ensures that assets, resources and processes are aligned with UNICEF’s strategic goals and delivers value for children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Operations team, promoting technical competence and career progression.
• Champion value‑for‑money initiatives and oversee financial management across the office.
• Enhance risk management practices and strengthen internal controls.
• Drive operational centralisation and optimisation for efficiency gains.
• Strengthen internal and external partnerships and provide oversight of financial management.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) in Business Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Public Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Information Technology, International Business or Project Management.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CPFA) with active membership.
• Relevant senior‑level experience in operations, finance or administration within an international organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex programmes.
