Program Associate – Beninese Nationals Only

About the role

The Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) is seeking a Program Associate to support its Benin‑Togo program. Based in Cotonou, the associate will help plan, implement, and monitor activities that protect civilians in conflict‑affected areas. This is a fixed‑term, full‑time position for an initial six‑month period, renewable based on funding and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate program activities, including drafting terms of reference, securing resources, and obtaining approvals.
• Communicate weekly progress and milestones to the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) officer.
• Provide contextual input during program design to address civilian protection needs.
• Deliver technical, administrative, logistical, and programmatic support for activities in Benin and Togo, including field missions, data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
• Assist in designing, coordinating, and delivering program components in conflict zones.
• Collaborate with the MEL officer to collect data, produce reports, and give real‑time feedback on outcomes.

Required profile

• Beninese national (as specified).
• Relevant experience in program implementation, monitoring, or humanitarian work.
• Ability to travel frequently to northern Benin and other intervention areas.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
