Analyst – Advice for Small Businesses (Fixed-term)

About the role

The Analyst will support the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Advice for Small Businesses (ASB) programme in Benin. Working under the Principal Manager, the role involves contributing to the full project cycle – from initiation and structuring to execution, monitoring and completion – for advisory and non‑financial services delivered to SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of ASB advisory projects and related activities.
• Conduct business development and pipeline management to ensure a compliant project pipeline.
• Perform due‑diligence checks, assess compatibility with SME Finance & Development strategic directions, and coordinate stakeholder outreach.
• Identify client business needs, define advisory scopes, and select appropriate consultants or experts.
• Support visibility and communication activities for the programme.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Principal Manager and collaborate with senior team members.
• Willingness to engage with international teams and partner banks.
• Interest in SME finance, advisory services and development impact.
