Consultant for Software, Hardware & Data Management – MDA Digitisation (Benin)

About the role

Sightsavers is seeking a consultant to lead software, hardware and data management activities that will digitise the mass drug administration (MDA) campaign against onchocerciasis in Benin. The role focuses on capacity‑building, technical coaching and ensuring data integrity throughout the campaign lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen the digital capacities of campaign actors and provide hands‑on technical coaching.
• Coordinate and monitor field digitalisation activities, ensuring high‑quality data collection and management.
• Optimise hardware and software infrastructure, overseeing data reliability, security and lifecycle management.
• Transfer competencies to the Ministry of Health’s IT department (DSI) and develop a transition plan for full autonomy.
• Align all digital solutions with national community health policies and best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with electronic data collection tools such as CommCare, Redrose and ODK Collect.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of SNIGS and the ALAFIACOMM community health platform.
• Proven ability to develop visualisations and dashboards, particularly using Power BI.
• Experience providing technical support for public‑health campaigns and delivering trainer‑of‑trainers sessions.
• Background in data modelling and management of campaign equipment.
