Finance Manager – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

OBT is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Togo or Benin office. You will lead the company’s financial operations across its international shipping and logistics network, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and strategic support for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, delivering performance insights.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury activities, banking relationships and FX exposure.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS or OHADA standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
• Provide financial analysis to operational and commercial teams to improve profitability.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial processes and reporting systems.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Support strategic initiatives, business planning and investment analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in logistics, shipping or multi‑entity international businesses.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Experience managing multi‑currency and cross‑border operations.
• Professional qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of tax, compliance and audit processes in an international context.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Leadership experience supervising or mentoring finance staff.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Africa and work on‑site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
