Merchandiser

About the role

The Merchandiser will oversee the end‑to‑end process of producing, procuring and promoting clothing and accessories for ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms. Working closely with designers, suppliers and buyers, the role ensures the right products reach the market at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and product development teams to turn concepts into viable apparel, selecting fabrics and construction methods while managing cost implications.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and finished goods.
• Maintain supplier relationships, set pricing, terms and production schedules to guarantee timely delivery and quality.
• Coordinate production plans, monitor progress and resolve any manufacturing delays.
• Implement quality‑control procedures for samples and production batches to meet design specifications and fit standards.
• Manage inventory levels, track stock and sell‑through rates to optimise availability and reduce excess.
• Monitor production costs, analyse cost breakdowns and seek cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Work with marketing and visual merchandising teams to create product presentations and promotional strategies.
• Conduct market research, trend analysis and competitor benchmarking to inform product decisions.
• Analyse sales performance, track KPIs and produce reports on merchandising effectiveness.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in knit manufacturing within a garment factory.
• Proven experience handling clients from the US, EU or UK.
• Ability to lead a small team (3‑4 members) through the full order cycle from time‑and‑action planning to shipment.
