Projects Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Projects Coordinator to support the collaboration between RELP and the West African Power Pool (WAPP). Based in Abomey‑Calavi, Benin, you will help drive regional power generation and transmission projects that accelerate clean‑energy deployment across West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the periodic update of the WAPP Master Plan and ensure alignment with the Planning Code.
• Coordinate and monitor pre‑investment studies for generation and transmission projects.
• Provide technical support for regional investment planning and resource mobilization.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships, including donor partners and regional utilities.
• Track project progress, prepare reports, and contribute to strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Energy engineer with fluency in English and French.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in power system planning and infrastructure project coordination.
• Proven ability to supervise pre‑investment studies and engage donor partners.
• Strong understanding of regional electricity markets in West Africa.
