Projects Officer

About the role

RELP is seeking a Projects Officer to support the strategic partnership with the West African Power Pool (WAPP). Based in Abomey‑Calavi, Benin, you will help manage WAPP’s project and programme portfolio, ensuring smooth implementation of renewable‑energy initiatives across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical, administrative and operational support for project planning, implementation monitoring and financing administration.
• Coordinate activities between RELP, WAPP and donor partners, ensuring compliance with technical and financial requirements.
• Prepare reports, analyses and management documents required for decision‑making.
• Monitor portfolio performance and donor compliance, flagging issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets and progress updates.

Required profile

• Organised, detail‑oriented professional with at least 5 years of experience in operational coordination, portfolio monitoring and donor compliance.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• Strong understanding of renewable‑energy projects and climate‑related initiatives.
