Manager, Partnerships (Blended Finance)

About the role

The Manager, Partnerships (Blended Finance) will support Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) in expanding its newly created blended‑finance vehicle, AECF Capital. The role focuses on securing new funding, building strategic partnerships, and coordinating internal teams to deliver high‑impact financing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue financing opportunities that align with AECF Capital’s blended‑finance mandate, including grant funding, concessional debt, and equity.
• Develop and submit fundable proposals, concept notes, bids, and grant applications, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
• Manage relationships with donors, investors, and other key partners throughout the pipeline from lead generation to closing.
• Coordinate cross‑functional inputs from AECF teams to produce high‑quality partnership deliverables.
• Design and package catalytic funding approaches that de‑risk projects and attract additional capital.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, fundraising, or partnership management within the finance or development sector.
• Strong understanding of blended‑finance structures, grant mechanisms, and technical assistance models.
• Excellent written communication skills for proposal development and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
