Database Modelling Engineer (SCADA/AEMS/ADMS)

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a Database Modelling Engineer in Cotonou to contribute to the implementation of SCADA, AEMS and ADMS solutions. The engineer owns technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, works with clients to understand their needs and supports go-live readiness, post-live checks and customer training. The role is an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of SCADA, AEMS and ADMS solutions.
• Own technical deliverables across the entire project lifecycle.
• Take part in decisions on architecture, design and functionality to keep projects on track for budget, time and customer expectations.
• Work with clients through site assessments and develop tailored strategies.
• Make recommendations on workflow, applications, interfaces, reports, testing and uploads.
• Ensure go-live readiness and support, and carry out post-live checkups.

Required profile

• Engineer, Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Science.
• At least 4 years of experience with similar technologies in the energy or industrial field.
• Proven experience in AEMS/ADMS and WAMS data modelling.
• Direct client communication is mandatory.
• Fluent French is mandatory; English is required.

Required skills

• SCADA, AEMS, ADMS, WAMS and EMS alarm, network, generation and simulation knowledge.
• CIM knowledge (CIM 13/14/15/16) and software integration.
• Windows or Linux administration, SQL databases and GE/Alstom DBs.
• RDBMS: Oracle, MSSQL Server.
• Virtualization (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V) and TCP/IP protocols.
• Basic scripting (Perl, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VBScript) and programming (C, C++, C#, Java).
• IEC protocol or other industrial protocols.
• Agile and DevOps.
