SCADA Integration Engineer

About the role

The SCADA Integration Engineer takes end-to-end responsibility for the software system integration part of large and complex IT projects linked to the management of electrical grid transmission, distribution and market. The engineer ensures that all software applications and databases used in a solution work together without compromising the integrity of the information system, working with Implementation Services teams such as Delivery Managers, Software Factories and Delivery Centers, and with the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot software applications
• Customize software solutions
• Install and configure databases
• Implement systems and perform acceptance tests on site with the customer
• Run integration testing to distinguish configuration issues from product defects
• Support the Design Team for AEMS/ADMS systems

Required profile

• Engineer, Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Science from an accredited institution
• At least 4 years of experience in services; ideal backgrounds include Computer Science, IT networking, software integration and deployment
• Fluent French and English, ability and willingness to travel
• Desired: excellent communication, initiative, autonomy, adaptability and ability to synthesize complex topics

Required skills

• Knowledge of software systems integration, development, testing and commissioning
• Windows Server and/or RHEL configuration and administration
• Virtualization (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V)
• Network protocols (TCP/IP) and scripting (PowerShell, Perl, Python, batch, bash)
• Relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
• Troubleshooting skills
