SCADA DB Modelling Engineer

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a SCADA DB Modelling Engineer in Cotonou. The role provides expertise in customer success and growth after sales, through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, retention and expansion, with a digital focus. It is accountable for the quality of its own work and operates within a defined operations framework.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of SCADA, AEMS and ADMS solutions.
• Own technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle and take part in decisions on architecture, design and functionality.
• Work closely with the client to understand needs and tailor strategies, including site assessments.
• Make standard recommendations on workflow, applications, interfaces, reports, testing and uploads.
• Ensure go-live readiness and support, and carry out post-live checkups.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Required profile

• Engineer, Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Science.
• At least 4 years of experience with similar technologies in the energy or industrial field.
• Proven experience in AEMS/ADMS and WAMS data modelling.
• Direct client communication is mandatory; fluent French is mandatory and English is required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Windows or Linux administration and SQL databases (GE/Alstom DBs).
• RDBMS: Oracle, MSSQL Server.
• CIM knowledge across multiple versions (CIM13/14/15/16) and software integration.
• Virtualization (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V) and network protocols (TCP/IP).
• Basic scripting (Perl, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VBScript) and programming (C, C++, C#, Java).
• IEC protocol or other industrial protocols, diagnostic skills, Agile and DevOps.
