SCADA/ADMS Database Modelling Engineer

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a SCADA/ADMS Database Modelling Engineer based in Cotonou, Benin. The role provides expertise in customer success and growth after sales, through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, retention and expansion, with a digital focus. It is accountable for the quality of its own work and operates under direct supervision within a defined operations framework.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of SCADA/AEMS/ADMS solutions and own technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take part in decisions on architecture, design and functionality so that programs stay on track for budget, time and customer expectations.
• Work with clients to understand their needs, carry out site assessments and tailor strategies to each organization.
• Make standard recommendations on workflow, applications, interfaces, reports, testing and uploads during implementation.
• Ensure go-live readiness and support, and carry out post-live checkups together with internal team members and clients.

Required profile

• Engineer, Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Science.
• At least 5 years of experience with similar technologies in the energy or industrial field.
• Proven experience modelling AEMS/ADMS and WAMS data.
• Direct client communication is mandatory; fluent French is mandatory and English is required.
• Individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills, or an early people leader who guides new team members.

Required skills

• SCADA, AEMS, ADMS and WAMS data modelling, including project delivery (FAT/SAT), site commissioning, end-to-end tests, customer training and issue fixing.
• CIM knowledge across multiple CIM versions (13/14/15/16).
• Software integration, Windows or Linux administration, and SQL databases (GE/Alstom DBs).
• RDBMS: Oracle, MSSQL Server; virtualization tools such as VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V.
• Network protocols (TCP/IP), basic scripting (Perl, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VBScript) and programming (C, C++, C#, Java).
• IEC protocol or other industrial protocols, diagnostic skills, and Agile and DevOps.
